Warts are a problem which people face mostly in there teens. Oral warts are fast becoming a problem as oral sex activities have become common practice. These can develop if the patient doesn't take care of the hygienic condition of specific areas of the body.
Causes:
If the partner has the warts in his/her genital area it can cause oral warts. It is not necessary that the warts be of a visible nature as oral warts virus can be inside a patient for many days before it forms the bumps which we identify as oral warts. It can also be caused by warts that are on the other areas of the body. Apart from these two oral warts can also spread from anal activities.
Symptoms:
The mouth can become sore and rashes and bumps can develop as the time passes. The can become extremely uncomfortable and painful as they flourish.
Prevention:
The best way to prevent from oral warts is keeping good oral hygiene like using a mouth wash and refraining from oral and anal sex activities.
Treatment:
Treating oral warts can be a problem. They may go away after some weeks but in certain cases they can cause mouth cancer. Your dermatologist may prescribe certain topical and antifungal creams. They can also prescribe oral medication in severe cases where the pain and itchiness becomes unbearable.
